Can I get a refund if I am unable to make the event?
- Yes, Refunds will not be accepted after 21 days prior to the event . All refunds prior to this date will incur a $15 administration fee. In the case of a natural disaster or cancellation of the event due to safety reasons, entry fees will not be refunded.
Can I change to a different distances?
- Yes, If you change to a further distance you will be required to pay the difference in the entry fee. No refunds will be given if you choose to change to a lessor distance.
Does the 25km event get the free bottle a for entering ?
- Yes, you get one bottle.
What does my entry fee pay for?
- There is an endless list but the entry fee covers off forest fees, Professional medical services, Professional timing, Forest insurance, course markings and marshals… check out the package here.
Can I enter the 100km event on the day?
- No, The last day for entries will from 4pm – 9pm at the registration night, 25 & 50km can enter on the day.
COURSE
Do I need to carry a map?
- The course will be full marked with over 500 arrows, 50 marshals.
How much climbing is there on the 100km course?
- Using a barometric GPS device we recorded 3854 metres vertical climbing… just remember when you go up, you get to sample some of New Zealand’s finest trails heading back down.
Will the trails be closed to the public?
- No trails will be closed to the public in this event, however we have signs up all around the forest to advise other forest user to give way to racers.
When is the trail marked?
- The trail will be fully marked on 20 October.

What should I carry on the 100km course?
- In the event that you are unable to continue riding we recommend checking the LIST HERE, if you get stuck at the back of the forest it may take some time to get you back to race HQ.
HOW MUCH FLUID SHOULD I CARRY ON THE 100KM COURSE?
- In 2013, several riders suffered from dehydration and where hospitalised, please ensure you carry atleast 700mls of fluid per hour of bike time, we will gave three aid stations on course.
Are there water supplies on course?
- Yes, we will have hydration stations out on the 100km course at the 12km, 60km & 75km mark. For the 50km riders, you can top your bottles up at the end of sweet and sour.

Can I park my car at the event venue?
- Yes, there is parking right next to the start finish area
What facilities are at the start/finish area?
- There are hot showers, mechanical service, coffee, hot & cold food, a garden bar along with all race support and sponsors displays
