COURSE MAP
 The Rotorua Isuzu Shootout Time Trial is held on Saturday afternoon during registration pick up at 1pm - 4pm on event weekend.  This is not just about the top rider, we encourage all riders to take part in this free event. 

HOW LONG IS IT?
The course is only 1.9km long and nearly flat and takes about 5-8 minutes at an average pace, all hard section hard easy ride arounds.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Riders set off at one at a time at intervals of 30 seconds in a time trail to complete the course. The fastest rider will then sit on the hot seat until a faster rider knocks them off. The rider left sitting on the hot seat at the end wins the cash + the over all top riders in each of the 100,50 and 25km will gain seeding priority for Sunday's Race.
  • Riders will be emailed their start times 7 days before the event, the times will also be published on this page.
  • Riders who are deemed by race officials to be considered a top 10 shootout contender will be part of the live webcast will solely have the course to themselves. 
  • If you miss you start time, you will not be allocated a new time

DO IT FOR FUN!
Yes, this is what it is about, you can go as fast or as slow as you like to be in with a chance to win some sweet spot prizes! We will make sure you don't have to worry about the fast guys catching you... we will make sure you get the track to yourself!
There are prizes for the top 3 male and female in each age group: 5-34, 35-49

DOING IT FOR SEEDING
Race for seeding priority in the 100, 50 and 25km with the overall fastest male and female taking away $250 bucks thanks to Isuzu Rotorua.
  • The seeding positions 1-7 are for the fastest overall riders in the TT despite age groups.
  •  The final 8 - 10 are for the age groupers who placed outside the top 7 riders. Their positions are 8 Masters, 9 Veterans, 10 Classic or Super classic.
